However, not so well known, is Patty’s work representing our sport on the Bermuda Olympic Committee and also as our International Triathlon Union representative. In addition Patty is an ITU qualified technical delegate and has worked in many capacities at major International Union events.
For example this year alone Patty has acted as :
- Technical Delegate for 2014 Clermont PATCO Sprint Triathlon Pan American Cup on the 1st of March 2014 (Florida).
- Technical Official – assigned as Chief Registration official for Elite athletes and Para athletes – World Triathlon Series Chicago (June 2014)
- Technical Official – Commonwealth Games, Glasgow – assigned to do Management / Quality Control / Registration (July 2014)
- Technical Official – Triathlon World Championships, Edmonton, Canada – assigned as assistant transition for Elite, U23, Junior and Paras (August 2014)
Prior to the Triathlon World Championships 2014 in Edmonton Patty took a two day course to be re-certified as a Level 2 Technical Official.
Patty is passionate about the sport of triathlon and in particular in Bermuda. Don’t be surprised if Patty comes alongside you in a local event on the bike leg to issue a drafting warning !
Keep up the good work Patty.
