The 2015 Neill Blake Triathlon got off to a good start on Friday thanks to the generosity of Appleby Global and their excellent support staff who provided wonderful facilities for the Greet and Meet session. Dr. Ben Lau and Myra Dill gave an well prepared and interesting talk on athlete nutrition and everyone was treated to great food and drink.
The bad weather meant that the schedule had to be changed so the first session on Saturday morning was running technique followed by a long run for the Advanced group and a technique – run session for the Beginners on the beach.
The afternoon session, despite some blustery conditions, saw an excellent turnout for a wetsuit swim in Harrington Sound thanks to David Green allowing us the use of his house and property to access a sheltered part of the Sound.
