After her impressive bronze medal at the Pam Am Games Triathlon Championships last week, Flora Duffy won her first XTerra today since coming back from a foot injury on June 6th.

Her competitors at the XTerra Beaver Creek Mountain Championships in Colorado might have been forgiven for thinking that Flora’s absence from racing might have left a chink in her amour but it was not to be as Flora dominated from start to finish to continue her dominance in Xterra races.

Exiting the water first with Sara McLarty, Flora quickly build up an insurmountable lead on the cross country bike and was never challenged finishing in 2 hrs 22 mins 41 seconds with 2nd placed Emma Garrard a distant 2nd in 2:28:43 and Jamie Brede in 3rd in 2:36:56.

The mens race was won by veteran Josiah Middaugh in 2:07:26.
