Tyler Butterfield goes to the start line this Saturday in Kona, Hawaii in perhaps the toughest ironman field ever assembled for the 2015 Ironman World Championships.
Tyler has had mixed fortunes this year aggravated by injury and sickness but has done enough to show that if he has a good race he should be considered a dark horse for a podium finish.
The very strong field includes a powerful German contingent including the two favorites, Sebastian Kienle, the defending champion, and Olympic gold medallist from Beijing Jan Frodeno. For more on the field go to :
