The National Stadium will be the venue for the bike to run brick session

16 of Bermuda’s long distance triathletes will be taking advantage of triathlon legend Greg Welch’s visit to the island to participate in a camp put on to coincide with his visit to the island to speak at the BTA Annual Dinner.

The 16 participants will be able to tap in to Greg’s almost 30 years  in the sport of triathlon both as an Ironman World Champion, coach and triathlon commentator.

Saturday’s session will feature beach running and ocean swimming at Horseshoe Beach followed by a Q and A lunch. Sunday will be  bike intervals  from John Smiths Bay Beach followed by ocean swimming. On Monday evening the participants will take to the NSC pool for a swim technique and intervals session. Tuesday’s venue is the NSC track for bike / run intervals using bike static trainers and the track.

Bermuda’s professional triathletes Tyler Butterfield and Flora Duffy will also be “guesting” at some of the sessions to offer their advise and join in the training.

The camp will culminate on Wednesday with a wrap up dinner.
