Tyler Smith and Erica Hawley will compete this weekend at the Central American and Caribbean Junior 16-19 Triathlon Championships.
These championships take place on the small resort island of San Andres which is situated off the cost of Nicaragua but is owned by Colombia. Tyler has been preparing for the race in Bermuda working with coach Kelly Guest in March when he was in Bermuda. Meanwhile Erica took advantage of her UK school vacation to travel to Victoria BC to train with Kelly and his group of Canadian elite juniors. She was also able to pick up her new Argon bike as they are providing both Erica and Tyler with top of the line road bikes for this season.
The junior elite races get underway this Friday 15th April with the junior women starting at 6AM Bermuda time and the junior men at 7AM Bermuda time.
