Yesterday, Thursday 9th June, was the 3rd race in the 2016 Super Sprint Triathlon Series and it attracted the usual mix of new faces and established triathletes, as well as some talented youngsters.
Thanks to Ian Pilgrim for the results and this report :
A record turn out – largest field so far this season. Hot and humid at Clearwater, and a few notable names from the past including Kamryn Minors and Caitlin Conyers who were very active juniors in their day. Byron Rencken caught Alec Shepherd on the second lap of the run to take the win, with young Tommy Marshall an impressive third, followed by Tim Patterson and youngster Caleb Ingham rounding out the top five. First female home was Becky Shepherd with Sharon Hammond second female, sandwiching Bermuda’s own Dr. McDreamy, Gerhard Boonstra, between them. It was also great to see Bob and Midge Oliver competing.
Thanks to Julie Marshall and Janet Harrison for helping with the traffic and recording the finishers.
