DUNCAN SCOTT AGAIN FINISHES GREULLING ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ TRIATHLON

Duncan Scott finished the famous Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon for the second year in a row finishing 56th in the male 50-54 age group in 3:27:20.

The event includes a treacherous strong current swim and a long run transition from the swim to bike start. The bike crosses the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the run includes a sapping cross country / beach run with steps at the end.

The Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon includes a 1.5 mile swim from Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay. The race continues with an 18 mile bike ride out the Great Highway, through the Golden Gate Park, and concludes with the tough 8 mile run through the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The finish is at The Marina Green.

Entries are limited to 2,000 competitors each year.
