Nick Pilgrim was 3rd this morning, Sunday 31st July, in the Quebec Cup Under 13 Youth Triathlon in Magog, Canada completing the 375m swim, 10km bike and 2.5km run in 38 mins 47 secs. As previously reported ( see yesterday’s postings) the triathlon was part of a two day / 3 event series of races with points being awarded for each race to determine final placings.
Nick was 4th in the aquathlon and 5th in the duathlon yesterday to leave him in 6th place overnight. However, today he finished ahead of three of the athletes who stood ahead of him overnight so it is possible that he might make the podium although how points are calculated is not clear ; final results later.
The series overnight leader, Jeremy LaJoie, was a comfortable winner of the triathlon in 37 mins 24 secs after opening up a gap on the bike.
