Karen Smith took bronze today, Thursday 15th September, for Bermuda in the 45-49 age group at the ITU Sprint Triathlon World Championships. The result is unofficial as Karen’s timing chip stopped working after T2 but Karen EMailed to say that she believes she came third. Karen completed the 750 meter ocean swim in 12:35 and the draft legal bike in 32 : 57 but her run and finish time are unknown.
Kent Richardson was 11th in the mens 55-59 with a time of 1 hr 8 min 45 secs with a 12:04 swim, 30:35 bike and 21:59 run.
