On Sunday ( 23rd October) Ashley Estwanik capped off a fine year as she finished 2nd in her age group at the Miami Ironman 70.3 with a very strong time of 4hrs 47 mins 52 secs. This result culminates a fine season for Ashley as she finished 2nd in the North American Ironman 70.3 Championships and 13th in the Worlds Ironman 70.3 championships.
Part of Ashley’s goal in Miami was to qualify for the 2017 Ironman 70.3 World Championships to be held in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 9th next year and this result has earnt Ashley a spot at these world championships.
Bermuda’s contingent all completed the Miami race with the following results :
