Close to 40 participants have signed up for the Mike Neill / Jasper Blake 7th Annual Bermuda Triathlon Camp which gets underway this evening, Friday 24th February, at Applebys Law Offices with the Meet and Greet session.
The week long camp for experienced and beginner triathletes features various morning, lunchtime and evening sessions before wrapping up next Saturday the 4th March at Clearwater Beach with a Mini Triathlon for all participants and a wrap up dinner in the evening.
Jasper Blake is a former professional triathlete who won Ironman Canada in 2006 and Mike Neill was also a professional triathlete. Jasper is the owner and head coach of B78 Coaching in Victoria BC and Mike is the owner and head coach of Human Powered Racing Coaching in the same city. Both coaches currently coach full time a number of Bermuda based triathletes, a number of whom will be attending the camp.
Participants are advised that they will be receiving an EMail this evening with a revised schedule and other reminders but should immediately NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER FORECAST FOR SATURDAY 25TH FEBRUARY.
Saturday 25th February – Beginner – Intro to Triathlon – to Sunday 26th February 8.30AM.
Saturday 25th February – Advanced – Bike – to Friday 3rd March 5.30AM
Sunday 26th February – Beginner – Bike ( handling skills – gearing ) – to Saturday 4th March 8.30 – 9.30 AM ( prior to Mini Triathlon – also use session to remind Beginners on transition technique / set up before triathlon).
Saturday 24th February – Moved time for long run for EVERYONE to 2.30PM
